Requests Keep Increasing : July 26, 2008
As strange as it may seem, requests for flyers, stickers and business cards have actually increased three-fold since Ballots were mailed. We expected the opposite response as people send their votes back. The average number of people viewing this web site for the first time has also increased dramatically in the past week. It appears that 793 members are researching the opposition and want to see change. We want to thank every member for their support and encourage everyone to get their votes back as soon as possible.
Ballots Mailed!!! : July 17, 2008
Ballots have gone out this week and are arriving in our mailboxes. No matter who you vote for, please only vote for the candidates you support. When ballots are sent out, they often contain a message such as "6 To Be Elected" or, "You must choose up to 11 Names". Often this confuses people into thinking they must select exactly the number of people listed, instead of just selecting the people they support. Extra votes for names you recognize rather than votes for people you support will actually weaken the results and favour popular names. Make your votes count, vote for who you want!
Web Developer Also Charged : July 15, 2008
We have just learned that Gary O'Neill is proceeding with charges against the apprentice that developed this web site. His lengthy defense to the charges is available here. Charges against both Monti Rose and Doug Styles Jr. will be at the Sept. Toronto Union Meeting, Wed. Sept. 17, 2008 at 8:00pm. Be there and vote NO to tyranny.
A press release has been put together and is being distributed to Canadian newspapers and news sites. If we send it out to enough people, maybe we can get some support from the media.
Charges Proceed : July 9, 2008
Despite relentless questioning and heated arguments from the members, Local 793 has decided to proceed with the charges against Monti Rose in an effort to save face.
Flyers Now Available : July 8, 2008
Time For Change flyers are now available and are being printed today. You can request them on our Help Us Out! page, or even download them and print them off yourself. They are 1 page, colour and print in Adobe Acrobat.

Web site Views Explode : July 7, 2008
This web site is now displaying an average of 218 pages per day! Over 45 people visit the site each day, searching for news on the Time For Change campaign, emailing letters of support and requesting stickers and business cards. For a small web site promoted by word of mouth, this is an amazing response!
The counter at the bottom of the page counts each person that visits only once, ever - to give an accurate reading of the total membership that has viewed the site. That means a lot of our viewers are repeat visitors, that want to be informed and active in the Time For Change campaign. We apologize for the delay in responding to requests for Stickers and Cards, they are being mailed out immediately now that we have more in stock.
New Section Added : July 6, 2008
Our views on Team Gallagher and why we're against the team is now available here. We have also added Wendy Catherwood to our support page for a position on the Executive Board.
Campaign in Northern Ontario : July 2, 2008
Monti Rose had an opportunity to travel across Northern Ontario this past long weekend. He met with members and Stewards working across the Sault Saint Marie, Thunder Bay, Sudbury areas. The response to Montis' 'Time For Change' campaign was overwhelming, and speaking on the trip Monti said, "It was great talking to the members and finding support for change in Local 793."
Members We Support : June 30, 2008
A section on the Team We Support has been added, and will have some additions over the next week or two. Please check it out.
Charges Flounder : June 28, 2008
Both Monti Rose and Doug Styles Jr. filed responses to the ludicrous and unconstitutional charges against them, immediately after being charged. The next Toronto Union Meeting took place Wednesday June 18, 2008 which is where the charges should have proceeded. Gary O'Neil refused to set a date for proceeding with the charges, did not respond to the lengthy defense filed by Doug Styles Jr., and the defense was NOT read out at the meeting - although the charges were announced.
